Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. He urged all those who came in contact with him in the past couple of days to get tested.
Confirming the same on Twitter, he wrote, “I have tested #COVID positive today. All those who have come in contact with me in the last 2-3 days may please get themselves tested.”
Javadekar is the latest senior politician and BJP leader to get infected by COVID-19 in the second wave across India.
Earlier in the day, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa also informed that he has tested positive for the virus for the second time.
