Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton attended the NDA Parliamentary Meeting in Delhi, extending their congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his election as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party and his appointment as PM-designate.
As per reports, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh proposed Modi’s name as the leader of the NDA parliamentary party and their choice for the Prime Minister post.
Chief Minister Rio, taking to X, formerly Twitter, wrote, “Attended the NDA Parliamentary Meeting. I once again congratulate Shri @narendramodi ji on being unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party, and on being appointed as PM-designate. I extend my best wishes to him.”
Deputy Chief Minister Patton also expressed his admiration and support via X, stating, “Attended the NDA Parliamentary Meeting today in Delhi. Warm congratulations to Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji on being unanimously elected as the leader of @BJP4India Parliamentary Party, leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party, and its leader in the Lok Sabha”.
“This reflects the immense trust and respect he commands within the party and across the nation. His relentless dedication and commitment to the nation’s progress continue to inspire and guide us,” Patton added.
