TURA: ASHAs(Accredited Social Health Activists) from Dobu PHC in East Garo Hills have lodged a complaint with the District Medical and Health Officer against the Medical Supervisor of the PHC, alleging abusive behavior and unprofessional conduct towards them and the nurses under her supervision.
The complaint, filed on Monday against Nanda Marak, accused Marak of using derogatory language and profanity, publicly scolding and humiliating the workers, and creating a toxic work environment. Additionally, Marak was alleged to have coerced them to resign from their positions and denied them their rightful benefits and privileges.
“His behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and a clear violation of human rights and Indian Service Rules. The supervisor’s actions have caused significant emotional distress, mental trauma, and a hostile work environment,” the workers stated in their complaint.

The workers have demanded an investigation into the matter and immediate disciplinary action against the supervisor. They also called for measures to ensure a safe and respectful work environment and for the suspension of the accused if necessary.
