Several trains have been cancelled or shortened due to the derailment of an engine of a goods train between Jatinga Lampur and New Harangajao stations on the Lumding division of N.F. Railway said a statement from the railway authorities on Thursday.
The statement said that the derailment has significantly impacted the operations of several trains. The authorities said that they are actively engaged at the site to expedite the restoration of train services.
To avoid any major disruption, the railway authorities have planned to cancel the following trains: Agartala-Gu Guwahati Special scheduled for departure on 25 April 2024, 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express scheduled for departure on 26 April 2024, 05627 Guwahati-Agartala Special scheduled for departure on 26 April 2024, 13175 Sealdah-Agartala Kanchanjungha Express scheduled for departure on 27 April 2024, 12519 LTT-Agartala Express scheduled for departure on 28 April 2024, 14620 Firozpur-Agartala Express scheduled for departure on 29 April 2024.
The short terminations include 12503 Humsafar Express of 23 April 2024, 15611 Rangiya-Silchar Express of 25 April 2024, 15616 Silchar-Gu Guwahati Express of 25 April 2024, 15618 Dullabcherra-Gu Guwahati Express of 25 April 2024, 14619 Agartala-Firozpur Express of 25 April 2024, 13174 Agartala-Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express of 25 April 2024, 12520 Agartala-LTT Express of 25 April 2024.

The railway authorities said that the following trains have been rescheduled for departure: 12508 Silchar-Trivandrum Express of 25 April 2024 has been rescheduled to commence at 06:00 hrs on 26th April 2024. 07029 Agartala-Secunderabad Special of 26th April 2024 has been rescheduled to commence at 15:00 hrs. 15616 Silchar-Gu Guwahati Express of 26th April 2024 has been rescheduled to commence at 10:00 hrs.
