Kohima: Doordarshan Kendra Kohima inaugurated its new Studio-B on Friday, equipped with state-of-the-art broadcasting technology.
The inauguration was attended by senior officials from Prasar Bharati and Doordarshan, including Additional Director General (Technical) Ved Prakash, Additional Director General and Zonal Head, Northeast Zone, Satyajeet Dash, and Additional Director General (P&D), Doordarshan and Akashvani, Abhishek Agarwal.
In his technical report, Neizekhotuo Yhome, Assistant Director, Engineering (Retd), highlighted the state-of-the-art equipment provided to the station and acknowledged the support of the Zonal Office and DDK Kohima staff in setting up the studio.
Agarwal said efforts would be made in the next financial year to establish full-fledged technical infrastructure for Studio-B, including Studio News, Studio Chain and visual mixing facilities.
He also encouraged the content teams to bring stories from across Nagaland to wider audiences.
Dash said the second studio had been needed at the station for a long time and appreciated the support extended towards the project.
Ved Prakash said the equipment installed at the studio was of international standards and urged the station to make effective use of it to showcase Nagaland’s rich heritage.
With the inauguration of Studio-B, Doordarshan Kendra Kohima has upgraded its broadcasting infrastructure, enabling higher-quality production and seamless streaming.
