Kohima: Nagaland’s indie band Trance Effect is set to feature in the line-up of Lollapalooza India 2026, one of the world’s biggest music festivals.
The fourth edition of the festival will be held in Mumbai on 25 and 26 January, with global headliners including Yungblud, Linkin Park, Knock2, Kehlani and Playboi Carti.
The news was confirmed by Abu Metha, adviser to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, who described it as “a proud moment for Nagaland.”
“Trance Effect takes the stage at Lollapalooza, sharing the spotlight with global icons like Linkin Park, Yungblud, LANY, Fujii Kaze & many more,” Metha said, adding that the band’s appearance marked a journey “from Nagaland to one of the world’s biggest music platforms – a testament to our talent and global aspirations.”
He also congratulated Trance Effect and praised the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) Nagaland for its “relentless pursuit for platforms and constant networking push.”
