Nagaland: Mteisuding elected new Naga Students’ Federation president

Kohima: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has elected a new leadership team for 2025–2027, with Mteisuding Heraang chosen as its new president.

He will be joined by Vimeyiekho Vitso as vice president and Kenilo Kent as general secretary, while Veze Tunyi takes charge as assistant general secretary.

The social and culture portfolio has been entrusted to Thejalhoukho Thomas Khawakhrie, with Ajo Tsela as secretary for education, Katho P. Awomi as secretary for finance, and Temjentoshi as secretary for publicity and information.

Meanwhile, Mariko O. Leriina has been elected as the Speaker of the NSF Federal Assembly.

The NSF, one of the most influential student organisations in Nagaland and across Naga-inhabited areas, continues to play a pivotal role in championing student rights, promoting Naga identity, and voicing concerns on education and social issues.

Taking to X, Nagaland deputy chief minister congratulated the newly elected president saying, “Congratulations to Mr. Mteisuding Heraang (@TeisuHeraang) on being elected as the President of the Naga Students’ Federation for the tenure 2025–27. May he lead with dedication, vision, and strength, and may his tenure bring meaningful progress for the student community and the society at large.”
