Guwahati: The NSCN-IM churches on Wednesday called for a “nationwide” fasting and prayer across the Naga “nation” on April 7.
A statement from the CNC stated that the organising committee of the Prayer for the Nation, along with the moderator and the recording secretary had highlighted the urgent request made by the Naga Church leaders during a “Prayer for the Nation” gathering held on March 13, at the Ao Baptist Church, Diphupar A.
During the gathering, Naga Church leaders had fervently expressed the desire for a one day nationwide fasting and prayer for the Naga ‘nation’ to be observed unanimously on April 7, in all churches or locations where Naga Christians reside.

The appeal urged all administrative heads of every denominational church to disseminate this request to their respective local churches, urging them to observe the one-day fasting and prayer for the nation without fail.
The aim is for the sins of the Naga people to be forgiven through God’s grace, and for the long-awaited honorable Solution to the Indo-Naga Political Issue to be achieved without further delay.
