Imphal: Chief Minister of Manipur Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Wednesday met Commonwealth Games Silver Medallist Jadumani Singh Mandengbam along with his parents at the Chief Minster’s Secretariat in Imphal.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to pugilist Jadumani Singh for his outstanding achievement, which has brought laurels to both the State and the Nation. The Chief Minister conveyed his best wishes to him ahead of the Asian Games 2026, expressing confidence in his ability to secure a gold medal.
Lauding the sports movement in Manipur, the Chief Minister remarked that sporting excellence continues to promote the State’s prestige on the national and global stage. “We are immensely proud of our sportspersons,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also assured that the State government would extend every possible support to all sportspersons.

Later, Jadumani Singh expressed his profound gratitude for the Chief Minister’s encouragement and motivational guidance. He noted that the interaction had further strengthened his resolve to deliver an exceptional performance in future competitions.
He also made a humble appeal to the people of the State to extend their prayers and good wishes for his campaign at the upcoming Asian Games in Japan.
