Agartala: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha criticized the CPI(M) during a recent campaign event, accusing them of exploiting janajati communities as a mere vote bank. He asserted that the INDI alliance’s primary objective is to sow confusion among the electorate.
Speaking at a large gathering in Ramchandra Ghat, Khowai District, in support of BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, Dr. Saha expressed confidence in Debbarma’s victory in the East Lok Sabha seat. He highlighted the significance of voter turnout and urged for increased participation in the upcoming elections.
Dr. Saha lauded Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to the development of janajati communities and contrasted it with the CPI(M) and Congress’ track record of using them for political gains. He emphasised that BJP’s governance has ushered in tangible progress for these communities.
Reflecting on the transformation under PM Modi’s leadership, Dr. Saha noted the Northeast’s improved conditions since 2014, attributing it to the Prime Minister’s initiatives.
He criticised the INDI alliance for misleading the public and contrasted their rhetoric with PM Modi’s tangible contributions to national development. Dr. Saha highlighted the contrast between the CPI(M)’s unfulfilled promises and the Prime Minister’s initiatives such as the HIRA model and Act East Policy.
