Kohima: In light of mudslides and road subsidence at multiple points along NH-202 in and around Chare Town, the Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has issued a traffic advisory restricting the movement of heavy and medium vehicles on the affected stretch with immediate effect.
The restriction will remain in place until clearance and full restoration of the damaged roadway is completed.
To ensure continued connectivity for commuters and essential travel, the administration has advised travellers to take alternative routes. These include the Trongar–Alisopur–Longmisa–Mokokchung route, the Yangli–New Sangsangmong–Yehemi–Suruhoto route, and the Tuensang Village–Longleng–Changtongya route.
