Northeast Frontier Railway (N.F. Railway) celebrated Janajatiya Gaurav Divas on 18th November 2024, honouring the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a national tribal hero and freedom fighter. The event took place at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha, located in the N.F. Railway Headquarters complex in Maligaon.
Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of N.F. Railway, along with other senior officials, paid homage to Birsa Munda by lighting a ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes to his portrait. In his address, Shrivastava highlighted the immense contributions of Birsa Munda, particularly his efforts to restore the traditional land rights of tribal communities that had been undermined by colonial and local authorities.
The programme witnessed participation from officers and staff of N.F. Railway Headquarters, along with representatives from various associations and unions.
