NFR adds four festive special trains to handle holiday travel surge

Northeast Frontier (N. F.) Railway has announced the operation of four additional festive special trains to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the festive season and ensure comfortable travel. These special trains will run between New Coochbehar and Sealdah, Katihar and Udhna, Katihar and Amritsar, and Kolkata and Saharsa, catering to the increased demand across popular routes.

The special services include Train No. 05474, which will operate as a one-way train from New Coochbehar to Sealdah. This train departs New Coochbehar at 21:30 hours on 1st November 2024 and is scheduled to arrive in Sealdah at 10:00 hours the following day. Additionally, Train No. 09047, running from Udhna to Katihar, will depart at 00:20 hours on 1st November 2024 and is expected to reach Katihar at 14:00 hours the next day. For the return journey, Train No. 09048 will leave Katihar at 17:00 hours on 2nd November and will reach Ujjain at 23:30 hours on the following day.

Train No. 04664 will run from Amritsar to Katihar, departing Amritsar at 13:25 hours on 2nd November and arriving in Katihar at 03:00 hours on the third day. In the return direction, Train No. 04663 will leave Katihar at 06:00 hours on 4th November and is expected to reach Amritsar by 20:00 hours the next day. Another service, Train No. 03117, will operate between Kolkata and Saharsa, leaving Kolkata at 08:50 hours on 2nd November to reach Saharsa by 22:00 hours the same day. The return service, Train No. 03118, will depart Saharsa at 01:00 hours on 3rd November and arrive in Kolkata at 15:30 hours the same day.
