Mizoram to face Assam in Swami Vivekananda U20 quarterfinals

In a spectacular display of dominance, Mizoram’s under-20 football team clinched a resounding 7-0 victory over Rajasthan, solidifying their spot in the quarterfinals of the Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s National Championship. The match, held at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama ground, witnessed an outstanding performance by the Mizoram squad, leaving their opponents struggling to keep pace.

From the onset, Mizoram displayed their intentions with a swift goal just four minutes into the game, courtesy of Lalngaihsama. The early breakthrough shook Rajasthan’s defence, leading to a flurry of goals, with Mizoram finding the net four more times within the first 21 minutes of play.

Lalro Thanga emerged as the standout performer for Mizoram, netting goals in the 11th, 56th, and 64th minutes, completing a remarkable hat-trick and showcasing his prowess on the field.
