Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 112 national highway projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore at Gurugram, Haryana.

The projects are spread across the country and include development projects from Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh in the South, from the North, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana-related development works are there. The East is represented by projects from Bengal and Bihar, whereas, from the West, major projects from Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan are there.

The Prime Minister emphasised the change in the speed of implementation of projects. He highlighted the importance of modernising the country’s infrastructure and its transformative impact on the economy and the people.

The Dwarka Expressway, currently under construction in Haryana, is a testament to the government’s commitment to transforming obstacles into opportunities. The Prime Minister highlighted the strategic importance of the project in connecting it to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and enhancing connectivity in the National Capital Region.

The Prime Minister also praised the efforts of the Haryana government in ensuring the timely completion of major infrastructure projects. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, for his dedication to modernising the state’s infrastructure and creating new opportunities for the people.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to accelerating the pace of infrastructure development across India. He highlighted the various employment opportunities that are created by this development.

The Prime Minister concluded his speech by emphasising the importance of investing in infrastructure development and how it contributes to the overall growth of the country. He expressed confidence that the government will continue to deliver results for the people of India through its efforts to modernise the country’s infrastructure.
