Kohima: In the ongoing fight against drugs, the Nagaland Police have seized narcotics worth an estimated Rs 15 crore and arrested five individuals in a series of recent operations.
The drive, carried out under the leadership of Director General of Police (DGP) Rupin Sharma, marks a major success in the state’s intensified campaign against drug trafficking, deputy chief minister Yanthungo Patton observed.
He said that the operations reflect the commitment and coordination of the police force in addressing drug-related offences, highlighting that these actions send a strong message that illegal drug activities will not be tolerated.
Patton reaffirmed the goal of building a drug-free Nagaland.
In a statement issued by the Media Cell of the Deputy Chief Minister, Home & Border Affairs, the deputy CM acknowledged the efforts of the officers and personnel involved in the successful operations.
It urged citizens to continue supporting all steps taken toward achieving the vision of a “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India), reinforcing community participation in the ongoing anti-drug campaign.
