Shillong: Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Vincent Pala on Thursday leveled serious allegations against Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, claiming that Dhar’s role as a spokesperson for the RSS and BJP is to protect his own illegal activities from scrutiny.
Pala’s remarks came in response to Dhar’s statement that Congress would soon be eliminated from the state. According to Pala, Dhar’s vocal support for the BJP mirrors the party’s goal of a “Congress-mukt Bharat” (Congress-free India).

“Dhar has to voice for the BJP otherwise they know all his illegalities be it drugs, coal or anything, all done by Sniawbhalang and company. I was an MP I know the CBI and intelligence, they used to come to me and ask feedback, all their files are on the table. A time will come then we’ll see who is Sniawbhalang, as you have seen many of the people are in jail, be it Kejriwal or any ex chief minister, the records which they put one day they will land in problem. Today, they have to speak the voice of the BJP. Otherwise, they’ll be finished by the BJP,” alleged Pala.
Pala urged the people of Meghalaya to be vigilant and recognise the true nature of Dhar and the NPP’s leadership.
