Shillong: Concerns arise over a potential mine tragedy in Meghalaya’s Muriap village, located in the East Jaintia Hills District, as unconfirmed reports circulate. The District Administration is currently in the process of confirming the details surrounding the incident.

According to unverified sources, three individuals from Assam lost their lives in a coal mine accident after the crane wire broke. Additionally, reports suggest that twelve people are still trapped inside the coal mine.

“Most of the information is originating from Shillong. There have been no complaints or other reports from our end. However, we are taking steps to confirm the situation,” the DC informed EastMojo.
