In a distressing incident highlighting the persisting menace of crimes against women, a young girl fell victim to molestation in Swaraj Nagar, Guwahati, on the evening of Thursday, January 15.
The victim, who was on her way to her rented residence, experienced a horrifying ordeal when an assailant suddenly approached her from behind, forcibly assaulting her. Shockingly, the entire incident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera.
The alleged perpetrator, identified as Bubul Hussain, hails from Sarumotoria in Guwahati. Prompt action was taken by the Dispur police following the filing of an FIR on January 15, resulting in the swift arrest of Hussain from his residence.
