Guwahati: The Assam Police seized drugs worth approximately Rs 80 lakh and apprehended two drug peddlers in Nagaon district on Monday.
As per reports, the arrested individuals were identified as Anarul Islam and Moinuddin Ahmed.
Acting on intelligence inputs, a police team led by the officer-in-charge of Nagaon police station established a checkpoint in Nagaon and intercepted a four-wheeler.

The police recovered 37 soap cases containing heroin. The suspects were reportedly transporting the seized drugs from Dimapur, Nagaland.
The investigation into the matter is still underway.
