Imphal: The United Naga Council (UNC) has announced the suspension of its ongoing economic blockade in Manipur from 6 pm on September 26, following an agreement reached during tripartite talks involving the Government of Manipur, the Government of India and the UNC.
In a statement, the UNC said the decision was taken following an agreement reached during the tripartite talks held in Guwahati on September 26.
“The council hereby announces the suspension of the ongoing economic blockade with effect from 6:00 PM of September 26, 2026,” the UNC said.
The council also expressed appreciation for the cooperation and solidarity extended by all concerned during the course of the agitation.
The statement was issued by UNC president Ng Lorho.
