The revamped structure will feature an improved facade and include modern facilities such as retiring rooms and waiting areas for the convenience of passengers.

The redevelopment plan also incorporates Divyangjan-friendly ramps, upgraded toilet facilities, two lifts, and a 5-meter-wide Foot Over Bridge to enhance accessibility. Separate toilet blocks for male and female passengers, improved parking facilities, and beautification of the circulating area are integral components of the project.

All platforms will be equipped with shelters and resurfaced with materials like marble stone and tiles for passenger convenience. The entry and exit paths will undergo development to ensure improved accessibility for passengers.

Tenders have already been awarded for the aforementioned works, with the foundation work for the new station building already underway. Simultaneously, work on additional passenger amenities, including the installation of Coach Guidance Boards, Train Information Display Systems, platform extensions, and provision of easy-access water booths for Divyangjan, is currently in progress.

The anticipated upgrade of Udalguri railway station aims to create new opportunities, fostering employment, business prospects, and easing travel for passengers in the city and surrounding areas.
