The King of Britain, Charles, has been diagnosed with cancer and has been taken to hospital to undergo treatment. Buckingham Palace officials said the 75-year-old had been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer after tests came back positive following a hospital procedure for enlarged prostate cancer.
The Palace said Charles had spent three nights in the hospital and tests had come back positive for a form of cancer. He has now been advised to postpone public-facing duties for the time being.
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

“The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”
