Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) continues its robust performance in freight loading, maintaining consistent growth month after month. Over the last fiscal year, the railway achieved a significant milestone by loading 10.24 million tonnes (MT) of freight, underscoring its pivotal role in the region’s logistics landscape.
In April 2024 alone, NFR successfully loaded 0.844 MT of freight, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to efficient transportation services. Notably, several key commodities have witnessed remarkable growth compared to the same period last year.
Food grain loading surged by 19.9%, while fertilizer loading saw an impressive 300% increase. Moreover, there were notable upticks in petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) loading by 42.9%, and container loading by 33.3%.
