India logs 94 new COVID infections in 24 hours

Imphal: In the last 24 hours, 56 fresh positive cases of coronavirus and two deaths have been reported in Manipur, taking the total confirmed cases to 1,23,787. 

Meanwhile, the cumulative number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the state is 1,923.

The fresh positive cases, all from general population, are from Imphal West (34), Imphal East (15), Churachandpur (4),  Chandel (1), Kamjong (1) and Tamenglong (1).

Also, the latest victims are from Thoubal and Chandel. Out of the two deaths, one person had co-morbidities and both of them had not been vaccinated, according to additional health director Dr K Sasheekumar Mangang.

At present, a total of 712 active cases are there in the state, of which 83 persons are under home isolation, it said.

Moreover, with 50 more persons discharged in the last 24 hours, the recovery rate from coronavirus is 97.87%.

As on October 31, the cumulative doses for COVID-19 vaccination in the state is 19,68,713.
