Imphal: The Red Shield Division of the Indian Army celebrated Raksha Bandhan with students and teachers of Paramount Standard School, Leikoiching, Imphal East, at Hanuman Top in Manipur.
The celebration brought together students, educators and army personnel in a spirit of unity, harmony and mutual respect.
The programme began with schoolgirls and teachers tying rakhis on the wrists of soldiers deployed at the post, symbolising their gratitude and trust in the armed forces.
The troops reciprocated by presenting gifts and traditional sweets and reaffirming their commitment to the safety, peace and well-being of the local community.
The event also featured interactive sessions between the soldiers and students, encouraging young people to embrace values of selfless service, patriotism and national integration.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of tokens of appreciation, reinforcing the bond between the armed forces and the local community.
The Red Shield Division said the event reflected the Indian Army’s continued efforts to build trust with local communities, promote peace and strengthen the spirit of “Nation First”.
