It seems like some people, or at least one person, find the COVID-19 awareness caller tune in Amitabh Bachchan’s voice annoying.
A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Delhi High Court for its removal.
The PIL filed by a person named Rakesh read, “It is ..most respectfully prayed that kindly be pleased to remove the caller tune of Mr Amitabh Bachchan of corona from the mobile in the interest of justice.”
According to the petitioner, Bachchan is not suitable for “such service,” as he charges money for the same. The plea also read that many other corona warriors have been doing a great service to the Nation and helping the poor and needy people and that some famous corona warriors are still ready to give their service without payment.

Rakesh’s PIL also added that the senior actor does not have a “clean history” and went on to state that he also does not serve the nation as a “social worker.” The petitioner also highlighted the fact that Bachchan himself was unable to “escape” from coronavirus as he and his family members tested positive for COVID-19.
The PIL has been filed through Advocates AK Dubey and Pawan Kumar, and the matter will be heard on January 18.
