Railway subsidy of Rs 56,993 crore reduces travel costs for passengers

In response to the increased demand for travel during the summer season, the periodicity of two summer special trains has been extended. These extensions will maintain the current schedule, including days of operation, timings, stoppages, and composition.

Train No. 06570 (Guwahati – SMVT Bengaluru) special will now continue to operate every Wednesday, departing Guwahati at 06:00 hours and arriving in SMVT Bengaluru on Friday at 10:00 hours. This extension will be effective from 29th May to 12th June 2024. Correspondingly, Train No. 06569 (SMVT Bengaluru – Guwahati) special will depart from SMVT Bengaluru every Sunday at 00:30 hours, reaching Guwahati on Tuesday at 5:30 hours, extended from 26th May to 9th June 2024.

Train No. 06221 (Mysuru – Muzaffarpur) special will continue to depart from Mysuru every Monday at 10:30 hours, reaching Muzaffarpur on Wednesday at 13:30 hours, with the extension lasting up to 10th June 2024. In the return direction, Train No. 06222 (Muzaffarpur – Mysuru) special will depart Muzaffarpur every Thursday at 13:00 hours, arriving in Mysuru on Saturday at 16:40 hours, extended to run up to 13th June 2024.

These extensions aim to accommodate the waitlisted passengers on other trains travelling in these directions. Passengers can find detailed information regarding stoppages and timings on the IRCTC website, as well as in various newspapers and the N. F. Railway’s social media platforms. Travellers are advised to verify the details before starting their journey.
