Kohima: The casting of Postal Ballots by the Absentee Voters Essential Services (AVES) category for the 18th Lok Sabha election began in Kohima, Nagaland, on Monday.
As notified by the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, the process began on Monday at the Postal Voting Centre (PVC) at DB’s Court, DC Office Complex in Kohima.
The casting of Postal Ballots will continue till April 17 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.
Three candidates, including Nationalist Democratic progressive Party (NDPP)’s Dr Chumben Murry, Congress president Supongmeren Jamir, and Independent candidate Hayithung Tungoe, are in fray for the polls.

Election campaigns would come to a close on April 17 at 4PM.
Election to the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland will be conducted on April 19.
