Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma was discharged from Civil Hospital Shillong on Saturday, August 24, after being treated for scrub typhus and typhoid.
Sangma fell ill last Thursday, experiencing high fever and severe symptoms. Initially treated at home, blood tests later confirmed the presence of both scrub typhus and typhoid, leading to his admission to Civil Hospital, Shillong. The Chief Minister’s Office had earlier stated that his condition was being closely monitored, with senior specialists providing medications.

After receiving treatment at the hospital, Sangma’s vital signs have remained within the normal range. Although he has returned home, he continues to be under observation and will undergo further treatment at his residence. A medical team has already visited him at home to ensure his condition remains stable.
