Tamenglong: In a proud moment for the residents of Tamenglong district, six local youths trained by the Assam Rifles have been selected in the latest recruitment drive of the Indian Army. To honor their achievement, Assam Rifles felicitated the successful Agniveer candidates in Tamenglong on Thursday.
A total of 31 youths participated in the rigorous pre-recruitment training conducted by the Assam Rifles, with 16 clearing the written tests. Out of these, six candidates were finally selected for Agniveer training in the Indian Army. During the felicitation ceremony, the Commandant of the Tamenglong Battalion extended his best wishes to the candidates, encouraging them to serve as role models for the younger generation and aspiring defense service candidates.
The Commandant further urged other local youth to continue working hard and strive for selection in upcoming recruitment rallies.
