Imphal: Manipur on Sunday reported 823 fresh cases of COVID-19 and nine deaths due to the coronavirus. Of the new cases, two are personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and the remaining 821 are civilians.
With this, the total number of confirmed cases has reached 55,230 and the cumulative number of deaths due to COVID-19 complications rose to 881.
The active COVID-19 cases have also increased to 9,184. As many as 646 persons were discharged during the day, taking the recovery rate to 81.77%.

Meanwhile, of the nine new COVID-19 deaths reported at RIMS, JNIMS and Raj Medicity, four were from Imphal East, three from Imphal West, and one each from Kakching and Kangpokpi districts, respectively.
Of the 823 new COVID-19 cases, 245 were reported from Imphal West, 193 from Imphal East, 86 from Thoubal, 72 from Churachandpur, 69 from Kakching, 56 from Jiribam, 49 from Bishnupur, 14 from Tengnoupal, 12 from Ukhrul, nine from Kamjong, seven from Kangpokpi, six from Chandel, three from Tamenglong, and one each from Noney and Senapati districts.
