The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the results for the Class 10 supplementary examinations for 2024. This follows the recent announcement of results for the Class 12 supplementary exams.
Students who participated in the examinations can access their scorecards on the official CBSE websites, cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in, once the results are made available.
To pass the exams, candidates must secure at least 33 per cent marks in each subject. The overall pass percentage for the CBSE Class 10 final exams in 2024 was 93.12 per cent, while the pass percentage for Class 12 was 87.98 per cent.
The examination pattern for Class 10 includes 50% competency or case-based questions, 20% response-type questions, 20% multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and 30% constructed response questions, covering both short and long answer types.
The supplementary examinations were conducted from the 15th to the 22nd of July. This year, over 2 lakh students were placed in the compartment category, including 1,22,170 Class 12 students and 1,32,337 Class 10 students.

In the Class 12 supplementary exam, approximately 29.78 per cent of students qualified. Out of 1,27,473 students who appeared, around 37,957 passed. Girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 33.47 compared to the boys’ pass percentage of 27.90 per cent.
The CBSE has also informed candidates about the process for applying for verification of marks, re-evaluation of marks, and obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book for the supplementary results. Requests for these services will be accepted online only and must be submitted within the specified schedules along with the required processing fees. No offline applications or those submitted after the deadline will be accepted.
