Guwahati: The North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, organised a North East Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs’ Conclave 2024 from March 27-28 at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra here.
On March 28, Aaranyak’s senior scientist Dr Partha Jyoti Das inaugurated a session on ‘Drone Simulation’ as the Chief Guest. Over 25 young students participated in the competitive drone simulation exercise.
The conclave aimed to showcase the vibrancy of the Northeast start-up ecosystem by bringing together stakeholders to foster investment, innovation, and connectivity.
During his interaction with the students, Dr Das emphasised the significance of drone technology in various development sectors of the country. He highlighted how drones can be utilised as a tool for socio-economic development and natural resources management in Northeast India.
