Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address a public rally in the Nalbari district of Assam on April 17, as per reports.
The upcoming rally holds significant importance, marking Prime Minister Modi’s first public appearance in the Nalbari district since the announcement of poll dates.
Earlier, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s statements indicated that Modi who is expected to attend at least three public meetings in the state.
Meanwhile, the eagerly anticipated visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Assam for a public rally for the upcoming Lok Sabha election has been postponed.
A fresh date for Shah’s visit is yet to be confirmed.

Shah’s scheduled meeting was set to take place in Gohpur town, located in Biswanath district. The event was intended to feature a massive public rally on April 8.
The BJP party had revealed that it was expecting about 1 lakh supporters for Shah’s rally.
