Guwahati: In a recent development, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has lodged a formal complaint with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), alleging violations of the Model Code of Conduct by the Assam Government.
According to APCC Chief Borah, government advertisements featuring images of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister continue to be displayed despite the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. Borah has raised concerns over these advertisements, asserting that they are in clear violation of the guidelines laid out by the Election Commission.
