Violence erupted at New Seppa hanging bridge point around 07:30 am on Tuesday when a group of miscreants allegedly blocked roads and vandalised a Scorpio vehicle filled with activists protesting against the PHE department.
Activist Sol Dodum claimed that they had requested to hold a peaceful public protest against the Seppa PHE department for not repairing damaged roads and drainages in the region.
However, miscreants opposing the protest smashed the windows of the activists’ vehicle and allegedly threatened them with guns and machetes. The activists managed to escape the attack and were able to flee from the spot with only injuries.
