Agartala: In what appears to be a ray of hope for the victims of the Rose Valley chit fund scam, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has formed an Asset Disposal Committee (ADC) which is inviting claims from the depositors, Sanjib Saha secretary of Rose Valley field Workers’ Association told media persons.
Briefing the media persons at Agartala Press Club, Saha said, “As per the verdict of the Calcutta High Court, the Asset Disposal Committee was constituted to settle the claims raised by the affected depositors.
According to our estimates, the total number of depositors in Tripura would stand close to one lakh. The total deposits would be to the tune of rupees of one and half thousand crore.”
According to Saha, the depositors have to raise their claims through the Rose Valley ADC website which is widely publicized through national and local level media.
“The depositors will raise their claims through uploading their cash certificates. The trial of the website is already over and now depositors can submit their claims. We genuinely want all depositors to get their hard-earned money back through the court-approved mechanism,” said Saha.
