The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are only a few hours away. The first day of competition will be held on Wednesday, August 28, with an opening ceremony in the heart of Paris.
Already, more than two million tickets have been sold for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This includes almost one million tickets that were sold in the first month after the Olympic Games ended on July 24.
The Paralympic Games are expected to continue the ‘party’ that started with the Olympic Games. Spectators will be able to experience the unique atmosphere of the competition venues at the 22 different Para sports venues.
According to a press release, 52% of ticket holders will see Paris 2024 for the first time at the Paralympic Games. Furthermore, 48% of ticket holders who bought tickets for the Olympic Games already have tickets purchased for the Paralympic Games.
The excitement surrounding the Paralympic Games is growing, with many popular sports having sold at least 75% of their general public tickets. This includes 11 sports that have sold at least 90% of their tickets, such as blind football, wheelchair fencing, Para track cycling, Para equestrian, Para taekwondo, Para archery, Para triathlon, Para rowing, Para badminton, Para canoeing, and wheelchair rugby.
The ticket buyers are coming from 144 different countries, with 92% of them living in France. The majority of international buyers are from the United Kingdom (28%), Germany (14%), and the United States (10%).
New tickets can be released up to eight September, so there are still plenty of opportunities to get tickets for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The official website tickets.paris2024.org is the only place to find all ticketing offers.
