Three special trains announced by N.F. Railway for Puja season 2024

In anticipation of the upcoming Puja season, the Northeast Frontier Railway has announced the operation of three pairs of Puja Special Trains to manage the increased rush of passengers. These special services will operate between Katihar – Amritsar – Katihar, Rangapara North – Prayagraj Jn. – Rangapara North, and Narangi – Gorakhpur – Narangi, offering additional travel options for passengers during the festive period.

Festive Special train no. 05736 will run from Katihar to Amritsar, starting 18th September 2024. The train will operate every Wednesday, departing Katihar at 21:00 hours, and will complete eleven trips, concluding on 27th November 2024. The train will arrive in Amritsar at 09:45 hours on Fridays.

In the return direction, train no. 05735 will leave Amritsar for Katihar every Friday from 20th September to 29th November 2024, departing at 13:25 hours and reaching Katihar at 23:45 hours the following day. This train will pass through notable stations including Arariya Court, Darbhanga Jn., Gorakhpur Jn., Bareily, and Jalandhar City.

Festive Special train no. 05831 will travel from Rangapara North to Prayagraj Jn., departing every Sunday from 29th September to 1st December 2024. The train will leave Rangapara North at 09:00 hours and arrive at Prayagraj Jn. the next day at 12:40 hours.

The return service, train no. 05832, will depart Prayagraj Jn. on Mondays from 30th September to 2nd December 2024 at 17:40 hours, reaching Rangapara North at 22:50 hours the following day. The journey includes stops at stations like Rangiya Jn., New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Hajipur Jn., and Patliputra.

Festive Special train no. 05633 will run between Narangi and Gorakhpur, starting on 3rd October and operating every Thursday until 24th October 2024. It will depart Narangi at 13:20 hours, arriving in Gorakhpur at 13:00 hours the next day.

The return service, train no. 05634, will depart Gorakhpur on Fridays between 4th October and 25th October 2024 at 20:55 hours, arriving in Narangi at 23:10 hours the next day. The train will stop at key stations like New Coochbehar, Katihar, Barauni Jn., Sonpur, and Siwan Jn..
