NFR announces train disruptions for safety work in Assam

To clear the extra rush of passengers due to the ongoing surge in demand for train travel, NF Railway has decided to extend the services of some of its special trains.

From April 5 to June 28, a total of 13 one-way special trains will be operated between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar Terminal.

The extra trains will depart from Kamakhya every Friday at 10:45 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 08:50 am on Sunday. The return journey from Anand Vihar Terminal will depart every Sunday at 05:20 pm and reach Kamakhya at 03:40 am on Tuesday.

To accommodate the pilgrimage of Tirupati, NF Railway will also operate a one-way special train from Tirupati to Guwahati. The train will depart from Tirupati at 12 pm on April 3 and reach Guwahati at 09:15 am on April 5.

The train will make stops at Vijayawada, Rajamundry, Samalkot, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam Road, Khurda Road, Cuttack, Balasore, Kharagpur, Dankuni, Rampur Hat, Malda Town, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, New Alipattuar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon and Goalpara.

The composition of the trains consists of 23 coaches with AC 3-tier and sleeper class coaches. Passengers are requested to check the details of stoppages and timings before embarking on their journey.
