Shillong: Superintendent of Police (SP) of East Khasi Hills District, Rituraj Ravi, stated on Thursday that they have substantial leads regarding certain individuals believed to be the primary suspects in the killing of two persons in Ichamati.

The victims, identified as L Esan Sing and L Sujit Dutta, were found dead at separate locations in Ichamati and Dalda, respectively. According to sources, the victims were struck by stones.

However, no arrests have been made as of yet. A magisterial probe has been initiated, and the authorities are investigating the motive behind the crime. The police have appealed to the public to maintain peace and uphold the rule of law.
