Kohima: Acting on intelligence indicating the presence of a cadre in the vicinity of Merangkong in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland, the Assam Rifles arrested a cadre of the Myanmar-based NSCN-K (YA).
A special operation was launched Saturday to apprehend the NSCN-K (YA) cadre.
The individual was found in possession of a single-barrel country-made gun.

Following the operation, the apprehended individual and the seized weapon were promptly handed over to the police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
