TVS Motor Company achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2024, recording 489,015 units sold. This represents a 13% increase compared to the 434,714 units sold in October 2023.
The growth was fueled by strong domestic two-wheeler sales, which rose by 13% to reach 390,489 units compared to 344,957 units in the same period last year. This positive trend was driven by a 14% increase in motorcycle sales, reaching 230,822 units from 201,965 units in October 2023, and a 17% surge in scooter sales, which climbed to 193,439 units from 165,135 units a year earlier.
TVS Motor Company also reported significant growth in its electric vehicle (EV) segment, with sales soaring by 45% to reach 29,308 units in October 2024, compared to 20,153 units sold in October 2023.
The company’s international business also performed well, with total exports increasing by 9% to 95,708 units, up from 87,952 units in October of the previous year. Two-wheeler exports saw a particularly strong increase, climbing by 16% to 87,670 units from 75,653 units in October 2023.
However, the company’s three-wheeler sales experienced a decline, falling to 10,856 units in October 2024, compared to 14,104 units sold in October 2023.
