Guwahati: In a recent announcement, the Indian Railways informed that it has decided to cancel the services of train no. 13132/13131 (New Jalpaiguri – Dhaka – New Jalpaiguri) Mitali Express in coordination with Bangladesh Railway due to the Eid festival celebrations.
The Mitali Express, which operates between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka, will not run on the following dates:
- Train no. 13132 (New Jalpaiguri – Dhaka): Cancelled on June 12, 16, and 19, 2024.
- Train no. 13131 (Dhaka – New Jalpaiguri): Cancelled on June 13, 17, and 20, 2024.
Normal services of the Mitali Express will resume after the Eid festival celebrations in Bangladesh.
Extension of Special Train Services
To manage the increased passenger load, NFR has extended the services of the following special trains:
- Mysuru – Muzaffarpur Special (Train no. 06221/06222)
- Mysuru – Muzaffarpur (Train no. 06221): Extended to run from June 17 to June 24, 2024, every Monday.
- Muzaffarpur – Mysuru (Train no. 06222): Extended to run from June 20 to June 27, 2024, every Thursday.
- Rani Kamlapati – Agartala Weekly Express Special (Train no. 01665/01666)
- Rani Kamlapati – Agartala (Train no. 01665): Extended to run from June 27 to December 26, 2024, every Thursday.
- Agartala – Rani Kamlapati (Train no. 01666): Extended to run from June 30 to December 29, 2024, every Sunday.
