In an intense final against England’s Robert Hall, Advani triumphed 4-2, showcasing his exceptional skills and composure under pressure. This victory further cements Advani’s place as one of the sport’s most accomplished players, having maintained an unbroken winning streak that dates back to 2016, despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
The match started with Hall taking an early lead in the first frame, setting the tone for a highly competitive contest. However, Advani quickly found his rhythm, reaching the landmark score of 150 first. In the second frame, he stunned his opponent with a magnificent unfinished 147 break, leaving Hall visibly shaken. The third frame turned into a strategic battle, with both finalists demonstrating their tactical brilliance, but Advani managed to pull ahead, putting himself just one frame away from clinching the title.
Robert Hall, undeterred, responded with a flawless 151 break in the fourth frame, reminding everyone of his calibre as a player and keeping the contest alive. The pressure mounted as Hall delivered another sensational 154 break in the fifth frame, bringing the score level and heightening the drama.
