Kohima: Er. Tiameren Walling was sworn in as the Chairman-cum-Member of the Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) at a ceremony held at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Lok Bhavan, Kohima, on Tuesday.
The Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy were administered by Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav in the presence of Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, senior government officials, dignitaries and invited guests.

Walling assumes charge of the state electricity regulatory body, which is responsible for regulating the electricity sector in Nagaland, including tariff determination, consumer interests and the promotion of efficiency and transparency in power distribution and supply.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by officials from various government departments and stakeholders from the power sector.
