Kohima: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Abu Metha, on Friday launched Dreams Unlimited’s latest travel-adventure film at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) Kohima.
The 1:19:41 short film follows the fictional story of a missing tourist and takes viewers through some of Nagaland’s most scenic and lesser-known destinations.
The launch event was chaired by Joint Director, IPR, Asangla Imsong, who noted the increasing collaboration between cinema, creativity and tourism in the State.
Speaking at the programme, Abu Metha commended Dreams Unlimited for what he described as a bold and innovative approach to storytelling. Drawing comparisons with the Bollywood film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara—which helped boost Spain’s global tourism appeal—he expressed optimism that the new production could play a similar role for Nagaland.
Metha said that art, music and films are powerful tools to bring people closer to a place, adding that Nagaland has everything from culture, landscapes, food, music and warmth. What the state need, he observed is strong storytelling to share these experiences with the world.
He added through the short film, “audiences across the globe will discover Nagaland with just a click.”
