Kohima: The vibrant beats of Nagaland’s burgeoning hip-hop scene are set to reverberate once again as the Nagaland Hiphop Music Festival gears up for its fourth edition, INCEPTION 3.0.
Presented by The Black Rose Enterprise, the one-day music festival will be organised by Table-3 and powered by the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA). This year’s festival promises an electrifying lineup of talent and cultural celebration on August 24 at the Regional Centre for Music and Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma.
Table 3 CEO LC Sekhose made the announcement on Tuesday during a press conference at the Black Rose Cafe in Kohima. He informed that the festival would kick off at 1 PM with battles and competitions, setting the stage for an exhilarating main concert slated to start at 6 PM.
This year’s festival will feature 13 dynamic artists headlined by Meghalaya’s own Khasi Bloodz, winners of the MTV EMA award for the Best India Act in 2018.
Other prominent musicians include Tenacious, Savizo, Ning Dang Ri, ZT Slingshot, J. Polland, Renbeni, Coffee (NBC), The Knot (SJC), DJ LiL’ BomB, Nentong Konyak, Psycho K4, and Meyisanen Lemtur.
Sekhose informed that Table-3 is a management team dedicated to promoting music and arts, particularly the hip-hop genre. “This year’s event aims to celebrate tribal unity and cultural diversity through music,” he said, emphasising the festival’s role as a platform for unity and expression.
Tickets priced at Rs 300 will be available at various outlets including Black Rose Cafe, D Cafe, Garden of Eaten, Kindred, Cafe Eva, and RCEMPA. Sekhose also informed that interested entrepreneurs can avail limited stall slots to offer an array of food, beverages, coffee.
Further, he informed that the team have plans to expand the festival beyond Kohima, reaching other districts and places across the country, making it a significant musical event.
Prominent Naga rapper Moko Koza highlighted the team’s relentless hard work and creative brainstorming sessions to unite diverse artists under one vibrant platform.
Koza emphasised their commitment to fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment, ensuring that the festival not only showcases talent but also builds a sense of community and cultural pride within the hip-hop scene.
Beyond music, the festival will host the Nagaland Beatbox Championship in collaboration with the Nagaland Beatbox Community, along with a lively dance competition partnered with Lamgrace Studio.
Participants from states across the country, from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai, are expected to join, reflecting the festival’s growing regional and national influence.
The Nagaland Beatbox Championship offers a prize of Rs 15,000 for the champion, and Rs 10,000 for the runner-up. The competition will feature top 16 participants from the ongoing auditions set to culminate on August 17, results for which will be announced on August 18.

Dance enthusiasts can also look forward to the hip-hop dance competition organised by Lamgrace Studio, featuring solo, duo, and group auditions. Top 12 participants selected through online auditions, will compete for the title.
