Kohima: Two personnel of the Nagaland police, deployed in poll-bound Bihar, have tragically passed away on separate occasions due to heat stroke.
Constable Akangluba died on May 26, while Havildar Nikiye Sumi succumbed to the severe heat wave on May 31. Both officers succumbed to the severe heat wave affecting the region.
Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister, Y Patton, expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of the two NAP (IR) personnel while on election duty in Bihar.

Dy. CM Patton commended the dedication of the deceased officers, saying that the two soldiers who died on duty will be remembered for their tireless devotion towards the force and the country.
On behalf of the entire police department, Patton extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
